The big question mark is the Iranian nuclear program. If Iran continues along its current path, the other players in the Middle East will react. How? Who knows? I imagine most Arab governments are politically aligned with Israel when it comes to Iran acquired a nuclear capability. If they do, then other countries will undoubtedly follow suit. Toss in the increased chances for a terrorist organization to get their hands on nuclear materials (not necessarily an atomic bomb but a dirty bomb) and you can take your scenario and toss it out the window.

Geographically the U.S. has Iran bounded on two sides. Turkey is realigning itself eastward. Only Allah knows how Syria might change. What happens when Mubarak dies in Egypt. He's got to be getting up there in years.

Right now the time is ripe for some bold leadership. However, I don't we'll see that out of the Obama administration, and any Republican leader is virtually guaranteed to be a lot less smart, worldly, and reasonable than Obama.

Take ambien for a good night sleep. The bleakness of America's foreign policy is not terribly reassuring. The partisan fighting only makes everything worse.

The 21st century is supposed to be dominated by China. I'm not very optimistic there either.ITscouthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06831793461834464569noreply@blogger.com
